The Cannon County Health Department plans to conduct FREE H1N1 clinics in Cannon County Schools for students and staff members. Consent forms will be distributed to students on Thursday, January 14, 2010 or Friday, January 15, 2010.

Students wishing to participate are asked to return their consent form to the student’s school by Tuesday, January 19, 2010. Additional consent forms may be obtained at Cannon County Schools’ Central Office located at 301 West Main Street, Woodbury, TN.

While these clinics are for students and staff members only, the Cannon County Health Department continues to urge the general public to visit their local health department for vaccination.

Since there were only a few hundred adults show up for shots at the recent free days at the clinic, I suspect there will be less than one third of the students offer themselves up for this shot.
Most of this is due to the apathy on the part of the parents--not a serious illness, can't happen to me atitude-- ignorance, but typical of the county.
