The former director of the Cannon County REACH Afterschool Program was indicted by the Cannon County Grand Jury during its January session.

Angela King was indicted on one count of Forgery and one count of Theft Of Property.

The charges do not stem from any incident associated with her employment as REACH Director.

King took a leave of absence from the position in November 2010 and did not return.

The case was presented to the grand jury by the Woodbury Police Department. King allegedly passed a counterfeit check at a local bank.

King was served the sealed indictment on Feb. 3. She posted $7,500 bond and was released.

She has waived arraignment, which was scheduled to take place in Cannon County Circuit Court Friday. Plea day is set for March 9.
