Five Sentenced On Theft-Related Convictions

Judge Don Ash presided over Cannon County Circuit Court on Friday, March 9. Several of the cases on the docket involved theft-related charges. The outcome of some of those cases are as follows:

• Joseph Faulk pled guilty to Aggravated Criminal Trespassing. He received a suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days, equal time on probation and was assessed court costs. Faulk also pled guilty to Facilitation Of The Theft Of Property Over $500 and received a suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days, equal probation time and was assessed court costs. He also pled guilty to Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, received a suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days, equal probation time, a $150 fine and was assessed court costs. He was also ordered to have no contact with the victim or the victim’s family.

• Shauna Carrick pled guilty to Theft Under $500. She received a suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days, equal probation time, a $50 and court costs. She also pled guilty to Theft Under $1,000 and received a suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days, equal probation time, a $50 and court costs. Carrick also pled guilty to five counts of Forgery and received a 2 year suspended sentence, a $50 fine and court costs on each count. She must also pay restitution to, and have no contact with, the victim.

• Vickie McClure pled guilty to Theft Over $1,000. She received a 2-year suspended sentence and equal time on state supervised probation. She was also ordered to pay court costs and forfeit seized property.

• Co-defendants Bobby Pinegar, Jr. and Matthew A. Baker entered no contest pleas to the charge of Aggravated Criminal Trespass. Each was given a suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days and placed on probation for an equal amount of time. Both were also ordered to pay restitution to the victim in the amount of $2,500 and were ordered to stay away from the victim, the victim's family, and property. They were also assessed court costs.
