Four Woodbury fire fighters collected money for the annual Muscular Dystrophy Association fund raising drive. Money raised by this annual event is used to support the research for a cure and assist in the treatment of persons and families that be touched by this disease.

Fire fighters from most fire departments from around the United States have participated in this event, known as "Fill the Boot," and Woodbury Fire Fighters are no exception.

This past Saturday (Sept. 12) four members of the Woodbury Fire Department spent their morning hours at two street corner locations and collected money for this cause. Their efforts paid off by passing by the "Boot" and collecting $1,400.

All of the Woodbury fire fighters would like to thank the public who contributed by filling their "Boot" with contributions.
The "Fill the Boot" drive hit its 60th year this year.
