Election Commission To Meet At Courthouse Next Week

The Cannon County Election Commission has decided to hold its regular monthly meeting at the Cannon County Courthouse next Tuesday, July 6, Administrator of Elections Stan Dobson said Monday.

Dobson said the reason he wants to hold the meeting, which will begin at 5:30 p.m., at the courthouse rather than the commission's regular meeting place at the election office is to accommodate any candidates or voters who might wish to attend.

Dobson said he and the commissioners will be available to answer questions and provide information to both candidates and voters about the election process and procedures, including the latest changes to election laws in Tennessee.

The county General Election is set for August 5. Early voting will begin July 16 and continue through July 31.
