Defendants Indicted By Grand Jury Arraigned

Thursday was arraignment day for those defendants indicted by the September, 2010 term of the Cannon County Grand Jury.  Those persons arraigned during Thursday’s session included:

Jerry Dean Barrett for initiating the process to manufacture methamphetamine, promotion of the manufacture of methamphetamine and maintaining a dwelling to keep, use or sell methamphetamine,

Jerry Dee Barrett for initiating the process to manufacture methamphetamine, promotion of the manufacture of methamphetamine and maintaining a dwelling to keep, use or sell methamphetamine, he was also appointed an attorney,

Kimberly Young for filing a false report, she was also appointed an attorney,

William Gary Jaco for criminal attempt to commit aggravated burglary, assault, manufacture of methamphetamine, initiating the process to manufacture methamphetamine, felony possession of methamphetamine and failure to register as a sex offender, he was also appointed an attorney,

Amanda C. Barrett for manufacture of methamphetamine, initiating the process to manufacture methamphetamine, felony possession of methamphetamine and maintaining a dwelling to keep, use or sell methamphetamine, she was also appointed an attorney,

Ila Kay Smith for child abuse, neglect or endangerment, public indecency, public intoxication and filing a false report, she was also appointed an attorney,

Vickie Dornes Marsh for aggravated assault, disorderly conduct, four counts of assault and failure to appear, she was also appointed an attorney.

Timothy Ryan Lawson for burglary, theft and five counts of forgery, he was also appointed an attorney,

Milton G. Taylor and Cynthia D. Taylor for maintaining a dwelling to keep, use or sell a controlled substance, and each was appointed an attorney.

Ashley D. Davidson for felony possession of cocaine and possession of a weapon;

Charles Matthew Gibbs for driving under the influence, violation of implied consent law, failure to show proof of insurance and possession of untaxed alcoholic beverages;

and

Napoleon Bonaparte Wainwright for domestic assault, he was also appointed an attorney.

The next step for these defendants will be plea day on November 5, 2010.  On that date, the defendants will be asked to enter formal pleas of guilty or not guilty to their charged offenses.

Several defendants not listed above but indicted either failed to appear or are incarcerated in other counties and need to be transported.
