An investigation by the Cannon County Sheriff’s Department has led to the arrest of a local man and the recovery of several pieces of stolen property.

Timothy R. Lawson, age 19 of H. Parker Road in Bradyville, was arrested by Detective Vance Walker of the Cannon County Sheriff’s Department and charged with burglary and theft under $500.00 after he allegedly entered the shed of a Cannon County man and stole several items.

After the items were taken, Lawson reportedly took them to a pawn shop in Murfreesboro and was paid money for them. Following an investigation by Detective Walker, Lawson was developed as a suspect and quickly apprehended. Lawson allegedly stole a wrench set and a palm saw from the shed.

Lawson is being held at the Cannon County Jail in lieu or $5,500.00 bond and will appear before General Sessions Judge Susan Melton on February 16, 2010.
