BBQ, Soccer Showdown Highlights Local Sports Today

Athletes putting on football pads and helmet this season from the youth flag football players all the way to the Cannon County High School team will be recognized tonight at the annual BBQ Bash on the Square. Cheerleaders from all the age groups will be recognized as well.
Plates include a sandwich, chips and a drink and is only $5.00. The event takes place tonight at 6:30 on the courthouse lawn.

The Cannon County Lionettes girls soccer team season opener is tonight. Watertown comes to Woodbury to play on Fred Schwartz Field. The teams split the season series last year. Game time at 6:00.
The Cannon County Lionettes Volleyball team will play their home opener and second set of matches of the week. They host district power Marshall County. Junior varsity will kick it off at 5:00 and the Varsity will play after.
