Get well wishes to Truitt Parker who has been in Middle Tn. Medical Center and also to Jack Pugh who underwent a recent hospital stay.

School is winding down. CCHS seniors are currently (Thursday) enjoying their last big trip together and TCAP is going on in school. What a short year it has been!

AAU games are cranking up and our bunch was in Cookeville last Saturday along with several others who were playing around the town.

That night it was a "sleepover" night for P-pa and me with our two youngest boys, Rylon Morrison and Kullon Patrick and youngest granddaughter, Adrianna Reed who came to help entertain them.

The Auburntown Historical Society met Thursday the 18th. Cannon County Historical President Joe Daniel Davenport gave a presentation on Brysonville.

There was an excellent crowd at Prosperity Baptist Church last Sunday night. David Turner and "Sheldon the Turtle" opened up the service. Gospel songs were sung by Bonnie Rigsby, Joe Turner, Jennifer Buterbaugh, Jordan Blackburn, Faye Evans and Josh Isaac. David, "Mainell" and "Todd" finished out the worship service. This was followed by a finger food fellowship.

Vacation Bible School Salem Associational Clinic was held Saturday, the 20th at Auburn Baptist Church. There were 16 churches represented with 108 in attendance including 10 pastors. This year's theme is Colossal Coaster World. Auburn won the super duper backdrop with 22 present. Prosperity Baptist carried home the supersized backdrop with 20 in attendance.

News is short this week so here is a Juicy tale related by Eddie Nichols.

Might Eddie have been one of those "selected loafers"?

This week Jenny Francis opens up our birthday wishes when she celebrates the very first day of the month of May. The 3rd Jamison King and Earah Stinnett Lankford celebrate. On the 5th, Wallace Hancock, Jeremy McGregor, Magaline Davenport and Shirley Young all get to enter a new year. Bobbie Whited and MaLeah Scott get cake and ice cream the 6th and Lauren Turney finishes out the week on the 7th. Happy birthday to all of you.
