Assault, Harassment Charges Filed Against Andrews

A Woodbury man is set to make his first appearance in Cannon County General Sessions Court today on charges stemming from separate incidents.

Michael Andrews, 5192 Sycamore Creek Rd., Woodbury, was arrested on warrants charging him with committing domestic assault on Sept. 24 and harassment on Sept. 26. Deputy Mike Smith served the warrants on Andrews on Sept. 26.

Andrews allegedly grabbed the purported victim around the neck and threatened her during the Sept. 24 incident

The harassment arrested resulted from over 10 "belligerent and threatening" phone calls Andrews alleged made to another victim over a two-day period.

Total bond was set at $7,000. Initial court date is Oct. 4.

 Other persons charged recently by the CCSD include:

• Jerry Ray Gunter, 935 Simpson Rd., Bradyville, was charged with driving on a suspended license, violation of the financial responsibility law and violation of the registration law on Sept. 22 by Cannon County Sheriff's Deputy Eric Moss. Deputy Moss observed Gunter driving his vehicle and, being aware Gunter's license was suspended, stopped him on East High St. Release citations were issued and Gunter's initial court date was set for Nov. 1.

• Belinda R. Perry, 744 Flat Rock Rd., Murfreesboro, was charged with violation of bond conditions on Sept. 13 by Cannon County Sheriff's Deputy Seth Perry. According to the arrest warrant, Robin Perry allegedly went to the home of the complainant, in direct violation of her set bond conditions. Bond was set at $5,000. Initial court date is Oct. 4.
