The Arts Center of Cannon County announces auditions for The Wizard of Oz:

Sunday, July 25th at 2:00PM
Monday, July 26th at 6:00PM

Calling all dancers, actors, singers, children, adults, and lovers of The Wizard of Oz! Auditions are announced for the live stage production of The Wizard of Oz, to be presented by The Arts Center of Cannon County.

This audience-pleasing family stage musical is based on the classic MGM movie of 1939 starring Judy Garland, based on the story by L. Frank Baum, with music and lyrics by Harold Arlen and E. Y. Harburg.
This production will be directed by Nancy Stewart and produced by Dr. Darryl Deason.

All those auditioning should be prepared to sing 32 bars of a song in the style of the show. An accompanist will be provided. For songs not in the show, you must provide sheet music for the accompanist. Come dressed to dance and auditions will include cold readings from the script. Must be age 6 and up. (Young children may sing nursery rhymes.)

Production dates are November 5-20 with rehearsals beginning late August.

The Arts Center is located on 1424 John Bragg Highway, just west of the town of Woodbury, approximately 20 minutes from Murfreesboro, Manchester, and McMinnville and one hour southeast of Nashville.
