A Cannon County resident was sentenced to 12 years in prison by Judge David Bragg Thursday on vehicular homicide charges.

Travis Lee Dobson was convicted in the May 5, 2010 death of Robert Eddie Ward of Murfreesboro.

Dobson failed to properly negotiate a curve on Auburntown Road, overcorrected and then hit Ward's vehicle head-on. Court records indicate the offense was related to use of methamphetamine.
