Workshop To Address Bullying Canceled Due To Weather

Dec 13, 2010 at 08:46 am by admin

Constable Jim Gibbs has canceled the planned Bullying Workshop for Parents scheduled for Tuesday at 6:30 pm in the Courthouse. Middle Tennessee is experiencing its coldest December since 1942 and it just doesn’t make sense to invite folks out in this kind of weather.

Sunday's below-freezing temperatures and snow created black ice conditions on many Cannon County roads. And those conditions will probably linger for several days on the back roads of Cannon County as sub-freezing temperatures are forecast until Wednesday.

With the Christmas holidays just around the corner, the workshop will not be rescheduled until after the 1st of the year.  In the meanwhile, any parent that believes their child is being bullied and is seeking immediate advice as to how to handle the situation can call or email Constable Gibbs at 765-7470 or email: jimgibbs@cannoncounty.net. Their questions will be treated with strict confidentiality and honest answers.
