A Morrison man was charged with failure to register as a sex offender on Nov. 8 by the Cannon County Sheriff's Department.

Arnett Wayne McNeal Jr., 209 Orville Duke Road, Morrison, was arrested at his home by CCSD Deputy Brandon Gullett.

McNeal was discovered to be living at that address during a traffic stop on Nov. 4 for which he was charged for driving without a license. McNeal stated during the stop he was living in Cannon County.

McNeal's current address as listed on the Tennessee Sexual Offender Registry is 6820 Rockingham, Memphis.

He was convicted in 1988 of aggravated rape.

Bond was set at $25,000. Initial court date is Dec. 7.
