Gary Wayne Pelham

Gary Wayne Pelham passed away Thursday, June 25, 2026 at St. Thomas Rutherford.  He was 64.  Born in Woodbury, he was the son of the late Jessie and Ruby Pitts Pelham. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Mike Pelham and his son-in-law, Brad Johnson.
Gary is survived by his children, Brandi Pelham and Chase (Hollie) Pelham both of Woodbury; grandchildren, Kimberly Carlton, Jacob Carlton, Dustin Johnson, Brayden Qualls, Braeleigh Williams, Peyton Johnson, Braxton Pelham and Chloe Parker; great grandchildren, Kingston and Weston Underwood; sister, Sharon (Lonnie) Simmons.  Also surviving is his beloved dog, Tinkerbell.  
A member of the Church of Christ, he was a retired machine operator with MI Tech Steel. At an early age, gary loved tinkering in the garage.  He would spend time with his father at Barrett and Pelham garage.  He was a "Chevy Man" and enjoyed doing mechanic work. He would watch Andy Griffith, making sure his yard was just right and he and Tinkerbell would go the flea market visiting with everyone.  For the past 20 years, Gary had a standing date with his sister and brother-in-law for Friday lunches.
His family will receive friends from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Saturday, June 27, 2026 and Sunday, June 28, 2026 beginning at 10:00 A.M. 
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Herb Alsup officiating.  Interment will follow at Prater cemetery.
