Sharon Marie Haley

Sharon Marie Haley, 81, passed away Thursday evening, December 15, 2022, at Evanston Hospital in Evanston, Illinois. Born in Detroit, Michigan, she was the daughter of Nellie (Ellen M.) and Harold F. Woodin. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Harold, Jean, Betty, and her beloved husband, Billy Doyle Haley, with whom she shared 32 wonderful years in Woodbury, Tennessee.

She is survived by her children, daughters, Faith (Mercouri) Kanatzidis of Wilmette, Illinois, Tina (Randy dec.) Bowman of Woodbury, Tennessee, stepsons Chris (Carol) Haley of Woodbury, and Bruce (Ann) Haley of Eagleville. She was the loving grandmother of Gregori, Alexander and Evan Kanatzidis, Callie Buchanan, Isabel, Emma, Issac and Lytton Haley and great-grandson Curtis Buchanan.

Before retirement, Sharon worked as a secretary at the VA Medical Center. She enjoyed writing poetry and stories, painting, traveling, and dancing with Billy. She loved life and touched every person in it. We are all so fortunate to have been loved by this beautiful woman.

Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, December 21, 2022 from 10:00am to 1:00am followed by the funeral service in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Rev. David Lilley officiating. Interment will follow at Leoni Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cannon County Senior Center or First United Methodist Church Woodbury.
