Steven Ray Davenport, 32, passed away at his home in Murfreesboro on Thursday, February 4, 2021.

He is survived by his parents, Shirley Ann Burks Davenport (Mark Young) of Murfreesboro and Daniel Reed Davenport (Renee Rogers) of Readyville; his children, Creole Davenport and his mother, Becky Mears of Beech Grove; Shaylynn McKenzie Davenport, Coleigh Erin Davenport and their mother, Jessica Prater of Woodbury' brother, Mark Davenport and his daughters, Payton and Alyssa Davenport; aunts and uncles, Danny, Lanny and Michael Burks, David Taylor, Martha Ann Hunt, Dorothy Champion and Paul Davenport; great aunt and uncle, June and Donald Johnson and their children, David Johnson, Myra Johnson and Maggie and Chris Stone.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lanis and Gracie Burks, Jack and Sallie Davenport; Uncles, Robert Davenport, Eddie Davenport, Lanis Burks, Jr. and his aunt, Georgia Lee Murphy.

Steven was a member of the Baptist church and was a tree trimmer. He was a laid back, sweet and precious son who loved his children. He always thought of others before himself. His favorite thing was being outside whether it was working for someone or just going fishing. He also enjoyed playing ping pong, throwing darts and hanging out with his friends.

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Cherry cemetery with Bro. Greg Mitchell officiating. Visitation with his family will be from 2 pm until 8 pm Monday, February 8, 2021.
