Emergency Medicine has different levels of skills and knowledge. Emergency medical technicians, also known as EMT’s, can perform basic airway techniques, start intravenous lines, check blood glucose levels, along with many other life saving measures. Paramedics have a more advanced level of training. This training includes hundreds of classroom hours along with hundreds of hands on training in this region’s emergency rooms and various ambulance services throughout the state. Paramedics are able to provide Advanced Cardiac Life support, advanced pain management, intubations and advanced airway control, along with other higher level skills for the patients and residents of Cannon County. In your time of medical emergency, CCEMS is there 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve you and all residents in Cannon County.
