A map that shows existing Middle Tennessee Electric power outages can now be viewed by anyone logging on to MTEMC’s web site — www.mtemc.com. “Our intent was to create something our members could easily use,” MTEMC’s Vice President of Communications and Member Services Chris Jones said. “The map shows our entire service area. Outages are displayed through highlighted blocks that users can zoom in on and click for additional information.” The map is refreshed at least every 15 minutes, providing site visitors with a look at the streets and communities being affected and displaying how many members are without power. Middle Tennessee Electric serves approximately 180,000 members in Rutherford, Williamson, Wilson, Cannon and surrounding counties.
