AUBURNTOWN CITY COUNCIL MINUTES--JULY 5, 2016

The Auburntown City Council met on July 5, 2016, with the following members of the City Council present: Rita Davis, Tina Fletcher, Chris Blackburn, Janice Fletcher, and Mayor Roger Turney. Absent: Denise Crowell. The meeting was called to order, and the June Minutes and Financial Report were read and approved.

Mr. Turney reported that he had received a rough draft of the city's Internal Control Manual from Mr. Poole. They are now working together to refine a final copy.

The Auburntown Volunteer Fire Department will be taking charge of Red Apple Days this year. They have posted information on the AVFD Facebook page concerning this event that has been set for August 5-6. It was reported that the Fire Department's July 4th Block Party was well attended.

Mr. Turney told the Council that we should receive notification soon from the Cannon County Election Commission about completing qualifying papers for the November election.
