On Thursday, 21 January 2010 the Woodbury Lions Club will host an American Red Cross Blood Drive from 12 noon until 6 p.m. Red Cross gives the following update of where they stand at the present time relative to the blood supply. The holidays were brutal. Collections throughout the area were down. Situation was compounded by the weather that hit the area last week. Red Cross lost approximately 500 units due to cancelled blood drives. So, even though Red Cross generally come out of the holidays in a weakened position; they are facing more challenges than normal this year. On top of these things, the American Red Cross is supporting the recovery efforts in Haiti at the national level. Please come out and help Cannon County obtain its goal of 77 productive pints on this drive.
