Applications Being Accepted To Fill The Office Of Clerk And Master

The Honorable Harold Patrick has announced his retirement from the office of Clerk and Master for Cannon County. His successor will be Appointed by the Chancellor.

Those interested in making application for appointment should send a letter of application and a resume of qualifications to Chancellor Bob Corlew by mail at Post Office Box 5, Milton, Tennessee 37118.

Applications may also be filed electronically by sending a letter of application and resume to chancellor@corlew.com.

Because of the need to fill this position promptly, applications which are received by 12:00 noon on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 either by mail or email will be considered.

Because the Clerk and Master deals with civil legal issues and accountings which are filed in estate matters, particular attention will be given to those candidates who have particular experience in these areas. The demonstrated ability to work well with members of the public is also important.

Applications will be judged based upon education, qualifications and experience. The successful applicant will be appointed to a term of office ending in July 2016.
