PrintStrategic Planning Workshops of the Cannon County Board of Education is scheduled for Monday, December 14th, 2020 - 6:00 PM at the Cannon County Board of Education Central Office, Cannon County Adams Office Building Board Room, 301 West Main Street, Woodbury, TN 37190 and via ZOOM.
Special Guest Speakers for the December 14th, 2020 - 6:00 PM will be Mr. Ben Torres, Assistant Executive Director/General Counsel with the Tennessee School Board Association (https://tsba.net/about/tsba-team/) and Mrs. Lillian Hartgrove, Tennessee State School Board Chairman and Member representing the 6th Congressional District (https://www.tn.gov/sbe/about-us/board-members.html). The State Board of Education is composed of 11 members--one from each of Tennessee's nine congressional districts, plus a student member and the executive director of the Tennessee Higher Education Commission who serves as an ex-officio, non-voting member. Dr. Sara Heyburn Morrison serves as Executive Director of the Board. All members are appointed by the governor and confirmed by the General Assembly. Board members serve a five-year term; the student member serves a one-year term.
This Budget-Strategic Planning Workshop will also be via available via ZOOM for those with COVID-19 Concerns.
