“When the Continental Congress unanimously adopted the Declaration of Independence 235 years ago, it created the foundation of unflinching independence that Americans celebrate each year on July 4th. As we enjoy the fireworks and parades and time with our families and friends, we should remember the sacrifices of our servicemen and women who, day and night, defend this freedom and protect our lives.”
