Have you voted recently? Didn’t cast a ballot in the last two November elections? Or have you moved and forgot to notify the Election Commission?

Then you are in danger of being purged from the list ofCannonCountyvoters.

Administrator of Elections Dorinda Mankin recently mailed letters to voters who hadn’t cast a ballot in the last two elections. Some 433 citizens responded, but another 421 letters were returned to the Election Commission as undeliverable.

Those 421 voters are in danger of being removed from the list of voters by the Election Commission.

If you suspect you’re on this list and if you are interested in voting in the future, it is time to call the Election Commission at 563-5650

In other commission business, the “interim” was removed from Mankin’s job description following a vote of Election Commission members. She was nominated for the post by Commissioner Jackie Gannon and was seconded by Commissioner Sue Patrick.

During the session, Corey Davenport was nominated as Election Commission Chairman and was elected by acclamation. Sue Patrick retained the post of secretary. Mike Grosch replaced James Hill on the commission.
