Cannon County's Read to be Ready Summer Camp enjoyed a great first week. Students learned what it means to be scientists while reading Ada Twist, Scientist, I Am Albert Einstein, and Whoosh, Lonnie Johnson's Super-Soaking Stream of Inventions. Students enjoyed visiting the Adams Memorial Library as well as Pam Forrest, WGS PE teacher, leading them in a fitness program. Lastly, students toured Barnes and Noble and picnic at Barfield Park. Co-directors are Emily Hancock and Kathy Mullins. Teachers include Stacie Bryson, Joy Pope, Beth Todd, and Maria Vickers.
