Girl Scout Troop #259 had their awards ceremony on Sunday, December 18th. The girls have been working hard the last few months, as well as having a lots of fun!

They finished up two badges this last weekend one on careers and one on Folklore. They visited the Cannon County library and talked to Patty to learn about storytelling. Their second visit was to the Old Feed Store to look at old toys and learn how they differ from what kids play with today.

At the awards ceremony, the girls used what they learned and did a skit on The Three Little Pigs – but from the wolf’s point of view.  They performed this skit for their mothers and families. The girls were then awarded their badges and patches and then had lunch.

Badges earned were: Theater, Cookie Connection, Folk Arts, Careers, and Making Hobbies.
