Lions Look To Tie For First Place In District Standings

Seven games to go before the end of the regular season and the Cannon County Lions could tie things up for first place in District 6-AA with a win tonight against Smith County. The Lions and Owls went into overtime in Woodbury before Smith County came out with a close 50-47 win. Smith is 17-4 on the year and 3-0 in District 6-AA. Lions are 11-10 with a 2-1 district mark.

The Lionettes will tip things off in Carthage. The Lady Owls have won three in a row and are 2-1 in District play. Cannon is 1-2. The Lionettes lost 57-49 in the first meeting of the season January 7th.

Tonight's game in Carthage will be live streamed on the Cannon Courier's Facebook Page "Cannon Courier News and Events". Tipoff is at 6p with the livestream up and running around 5:50.
