Lions Face Indians Tonight After Losses

Missed free throws haunted the Cannon County Lionettes in their district opener in Woodbury Monday night as the Smith County Lady Owls grabbed a 57-49 win. The Lionettes were 7-20 from the free throw line. Anaston Holt led the Lionettes with 12 point.
Smith County Owls kept Gus Davenport from breaking out and scoring. Davenport had been averaging 35 points coming into the first district game of the season only managed to score 16 in an 50-47 overtime loss. Cannon drops to 7-10 on the season.

Tonight the Cannon County Lions and Lionettes host the Sequatchie County Indians teams from Dunlap. The Lionettes took the road win back on December 10th with a 65-42 win while the Lions came up short 49-48.
Tonight's games will be broadcast live on Facebook page "Cannon Courier News and Events" with the tip-off at 6:00. Livestream should be up and running at 5:50p.
