Gary Edward Green

Gary Edward Green, 52, of Christiana passed away Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2022 at St. Thomas Rutherford. He was a native of Rutherford Co.

He is survived by his parents, Donnie & Diane Hill Green of Christiana; sister, Kimberly Green Smith and her husband, Gary of Spencer; brother, Chad Green and his wife, Jessica of Christiana; nieces and nephew, Trudy Smith Phifer and her husband, Austin, Danielle Green and Dakota Green

He was preceded in death by his mother, Trudy Davis Carter; grandparents, John & Birtie Green and Dewey & Peggy Davis.

The family would like to give a special thank you to NHC of Murfreesboro and Ascension St. Thomas Rutherford, his doctors, nurses and staff.

Gary was a member of the Baptist church and was a heavy machine operator. To know Gary was to love him, he had a heart of gold, a big smile and was a friend to everyone. He enjoyed any type of racing and watching his friends' race. Gary especially loved watching his niece and nephew play ball.

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Raymond Hillis officiating. Interment will follow in Gilley Hill cemetery. Visitation with his family will be from 4 PM until 8 PM, Friday, February 4, 2022 and Saturday from 9 AM until his time of service.
