For the second consecutive game in a row the Cannon County Lions basketball teams will play a team from Macon County as they will host Red Boiling Springs Saturday evening at Robert A. Harris Gymnasium.
The Lionettes last game against a Macon County team didn't go so well in a 77-36 win against the powerhouse Tigerettes team. The Lady Bulldogs are not as competitive and have been absent from game play since December 1st because of COVID issues. Sporting a 1-3 record the Lady Bulldogs have lost back to back games against other teams in District 8-AA with losses to Dekalb and Smith County.
The Bulldogs boys team haven't done much better and are looking for their first win of the season going 0-5 so far. The Lions are 5-4 after a win over Macon County December 11th.
Tickets will be on sale at the doors Saturday night with a limit of 400. It will be first come first serve.
Cannon Courier will audio broadcast the game live via Facebook Live on the Facebook Page "Cannon Courier News and Events" Saturday evening. Tipoff is set for 6:00.
