WPD Incident Reports for 01.27.2010

01.14.2010 — Donna McPeak was charged with vandalism after going to her husband Johnny McPeak's house at 945 S. McCrary St. and breaking a camper window with a rock.

01.20.2010 — Asst. Chief Darrell Young was dispatched to the Adams Memorial Public Library in reference to vandalism. There the librarian Rita Allen reported that she had found items strewn across the yard an in the bushes. When recovered it was a book that had been shipped through the mail postmarked Dec. 2009. The envelope had been cut open and the book torn apart intentionally. Also found was other mail that should have been delivered to the library last December. The items were wet from rain. Investigation is ongoing.

01.25.2010 — Hazel Melton came to the P.D. and reported that on 01.15.2010 while she was at the laundry mat on W. Main some had taken a handmade quilt from her laundry. She had five machines going at once and noticed the quilt missing two days later. Mrs. Melton checked her car and the laundry mat but was unable to find the quilt -- pink with dark pink and blue flower designs. Investigation is ongoing.
