Jenkins and Holmes
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation today added two men wanted for a Franklin County murder to the state’s Top Ten Most Wanted list in an effort to locate them and take them into custody.

David Gordon Jenkins (top photo), 46, of 3554 Asbury Road, Manchester, and 25-year-old Coty Keith Holmes (bottom photo), of 197 Rhoads Lane, Hillsboro,  are wanted by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and TBI for one count of first degree murder and one count of felony murder.

Two other men, 39-year-old Todd Eugene Dalton and 26-year-old John Corey Lanier, both of Manchester, were taken into custody earlier this week on the same charges and booked into the Franklin County jail without bond. All four were indicted by the Franklin County grand jury on Monday for the beating death of 26-year-old Corey Nathaniel Matthews. Matthews’ body was found in a corn field across from the Jackson Cemetery in Cowan on March 24, 2013 after his family reported him missing. He was found lying on his back in wet clothes from a recent rainstorm with blunt for trauma to his head and face. Investigators believe Matthews’ was targeted because of his affiliation with the Aryan Nation and the four Coffee County subjects are affiliated with the Aryan Brotherhood and Aryan Nation. The TBI, Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, Cowan Police Department and Coffee County Sheriff’s Office all assisted in the investigation.

Jenkins is described as a white male with brown hair and brown eyes. He is 5’10” and weighs approximately 185 lbs.  He has numerous tattoos on his arms, left shoulder, chest, back and thighs, as well as numerous scars. Jenkins criminal history dates back to 1985 and includes assault, drug trafficking, resisting arrest, possession of stolen property, robbery, escape, writing bad checks, DUI and traffic violations.

Holmes is described as a white male with brown hair and blue eyes. He is 6’1” and weighs approximately 180 lbs. He has tattoos on both arms and a scar on his left forearm. Holmes criminal history includes possession of marijuana.

Both Jenkins and Holmes are considered armed and dangerous and should be approached with extreme caution.  Anyone with information on the whereabouts of David Gordon Jenkins or Coty Keith Holmes is urged to call the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND (1-800-824-3463). There is a $1,000 reward for information leading to their arrests.
