Did I miss the Cannon Courier's Obituary published regards the demise of, 'Public Service Announcements' ?
I don't particularly care what governing agency is responsible for initiating Public Service Notices for road closings, utility services repair periods, etc.. I am concerned for what appears to be a lack of diligence on the part of our Cannon Courier to keep its readers informed of major Bridge/Road repairs, e.g., Brush Creek Bridge on 145 Auburntown road at the Campbell Farm. Regardless of the On-site signs with limited information - rumors place the road closing from 3 weeks to 60 days - no published advisories/suggestions for those not familiar with the area on how to access areas north of the soon to be impassable work site. Why even the Mail Person was not aware of the exact area being closed and for what period of time. On the other hand, I do understand how difficult it is today, for far to many people, to get out of a dry/cooled office to gather information, especially when Computers and digital phones are nearly morphing everyone into a Bot.
