Six Charged With Driving While License Suspended/Revoked

Brian Lee Prater, 6199 Burks Hollow Rd., Christiana, was charged with Driving On A Revoked License and was issued citations for Improper Tags and No Insurance on March 5 by Cannon County Sheriff’s Deputy Eric Moss.

Deputy Moss was on patrol at approximately 4:05 p.m. on that date when he heard Sgt. Randy Neal run a tag over the radio which came back to a 1992 Plymouth. Deputy Moss was aware the vehicle in question was a Nissan Pathfinder. The deputy was able to make contact with the vehicle on Doolittle Road and activated his blue lights. The vehicle continued South on Doolittle and pulled into the Rite Aid parking lot.

As Deputy Moss approached the vehicle, the driver got out. He advised the driver to get back inside. Once he did so, the deputy informed the driver, Prater, that he was pulled over for having improperly displayed tags.

Prater gave the deputy a state ID card and informed him he did not have insurance when asked. Prater’s license was revoked for DUI. He was arrested and transported to the Cannon County Jail. Bond was set at $2,000. Initial court date is May 1.

• Ernest Shane Bogle, 208 S. Clinch St., Woodbury, was charged with Driving On Suspended License on March 3 by Woodbury Patrolman John House following a traffic stop on Hayes St. A release citation was issued. Initial court date is April 24.

• Jimmy Douglas Davis, 1027 Manustown Rd., Woodbury, was charged with Driving On Suspended 1st Offense on March 2 by Cannon County Sheriff’s Deputy Brandon Gullett following a traffic stop on Manustown Rd. A release citation was issued. Initial court date is April 3.

• Tabitha Lea Smith, 308 W. Laurel St., Woodbury, was charged with Driving On Suspended License 3rd Offense by Woodbury Police Sgt. Lowell Womack on March 8. On March 7, Sgt. Womack allegedly observed Smith operating a motor vehicle on W. Adams St. On March 8, Assistant Police Chief Kevin Mooneyham brought to Sgt. Womack’s attention that Smith’s license was suspended. Bond was set at $500. Initial court date is April 17.

• Sarah Elizabeth Quill, 2317 Osement Road, McMinnville, was charged with Driving While License Suspended on March 5 by Woodbury Assistant Police Chief Kevin Mooneyham following a traffic stop on S. College St. A release citation was issued. Initial court date is March 5.

• David Anthony Hillis, 1421 Lipscomb Dr., Brentwood, was charged with Driving On Revoked License and Speeding (76/55) by Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper Al Seitner on Feb. 24 following a traffic stop on U.S. 70S. Bond was set at $800. Initial court date is March 20.
