A Woodbury man doesn't have a driver's license, but that didn't keep him from incurring three charges of operating a motor vehicle in the last week without one.

Marcus Tenpenny, 800 S. McCrary St., Woodury, was charged on the following dates by officers with the Woodbury Police Department after he was stopped while driving a 1998 blue Chevy Camaro.

Oct. 13: Tenpenny was stopped by Ptl. Lowell Womack at 1:15 p.m. on Greenbrier Street. He was also charged with no proof of insurance and violation of the vehicle registration law on that date. He was given releases citations.

Oct. 15: Sgt. John House stopped Tenpenny on S. Lynn St. at 4:25 p.m. He was issued a release citation.

Oct. 16: Ptl. John Fesmire pulled Tenpenny over on McFerrin St. at 8:03 p.m. Bond was set at $500.

General Sessions Court dates were set on Nov. 9 and Nov. 16.

Obviously law enforcement is not seen as a deterrent for crime in Cannon County. Hopefully the judicial system can correct such falacies.

If it takes a long prison sentence to get him off the streets,20 years sounds about right. The police dept. did there job.but will the judge do his or her job.

well, i'll say from being marcus tenpenny's ex, that he is just not a man that will drive with no license over and over again, he is also pending some felony charges right now for burglary, theft, and so on. He also has past charges of aggravated assault (x2), drug charges, and so on and so forth, too many things to list. i don't think the judge realizes that he is not going to stop. i stayed with him 2 years thinking he was going to stop and he didn't.
