Reports Show Most Money Spent On Sheriff, Trustee Races

Information on file at the Cannon County Election Commission shows that the most money spent in this Thursday's County General Election for the top positions in local government has been spent on the Sheriff and Trustee races.

Disbursements listed below include both expenditures and loan repayments.

Candidates with expenditures and contributions less than $1,000 can declare themselves exempt from filing a detailed financial disclosure.

Disbursement reports may exclude expenditures not yet billed, for which the candidates can file an amended statement by the next reporting deadline.

Election Day is Aug. 5. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Sheriff

Howard Mike Grosch, reported $2399.52 total disbursements as of June 30, 2010.

Jack Miller, reported campaign is exempt from detailed disclosure as of April 1, 2010.

Billy Nichols, reported $3820.36 total disbursements, $4050 total receipts, $4000 total loans outstanding and $625 total obligations outstanding as of July 30, 2010.

Darrell Young, reported $4410.31 total disbursements, $5121 total receipts, $685.60 balance on hand, $750 total loans outstanding and $1349 total obligations outstanding as of July 31, 2010.

Kenny Wetzel, did not file a report.

Trustee

Dotty Duggin, reported campaign is exempt from detailed disclosure as of July 29, 2010.

Grant Holt, reported disbursements of $2,351.34 disbursements, $61.47 balance, $717.81 loans outstanding and $545.00 obligations outstanding as of July 29.

Norma Knox, 155.63 balance on hand, $68.00 obligations outstanding as of July 26, 2010.

Brenda Mullinax, $1568.58 disbursements, $212.00 obligations outstanding as of July 28, 2010.

Michael D. Nichols, reported $0.00 disbursements as of July 7, 2010.

Wayne Prater, 2,800 total disbursements as of July 29, 2010.

Brenda Witty, reported disbursements of $261.00 as of July 29, 2010.

Nolan Travis, reported disbursements of $4210.06 as of July 29, 2010.

Terry Russell Reed, reported $1830.14 total disbursements as of July 28, 2010.

Bobby Smith, reported $941 total disbursements, $340 outstanding obligations as of July 29, 2010.

Roger Spry, reported campaign is exempt from detailed disclosure as of July 26, 2010.

The Courier had reported zero disbursements for him at the time of commenting... Nice of them to update/edit and not note that in their article...
