WSMV Report: Letter Threatens Sheriff's Candidate, Family

A candidate for Cannon County sheriff said the race has gotten so dirty he's worried about his family's safety.

Jack Miller said someone attached a letter to his mailbox, threatening both him and his family. Now he's asking law enforcement from outside the county to get involved.

"The day you win sheriff is the day you die and your family. You are a drug dealer," Miller read from the letter.

It's funny how Channel 4 also reported that Jack Miller was arrested in Coffee County recently for being a public drunk. I say this man doesn't need to be our Sheriff.
