Cannon Arts Announces Belly Dance Workshop

I was able to observe some exotic ladies perform these dances a few times in Chicago and a couple locations far from here.

The most interesting part of the dance came (at least for me) when one attempted to gently insert a folded bill between the skin of the lower portion of that area (belly) and the fabric that covered that area.

Husbands should encourage their wives to enroll, especially if the wives have the necessary equipment that is needed for this delightful diversion.

Seems a bit of a sexist remark to me...

I'm a woman and I think dailyreader needs to get a dailylife. I totally agree JeffSchuler..it sounds like a sexist remark to me!

You all are probably correct but I was only one of the million of other GIs who found enjoyment watching these dancers and others including the famed Sally Rand.

When Hope would bring his show near the front and paraded a couple of shapely, scantily clad (much less clothing then these), lovely young women in front of hundreds and even thousands of us, we cheered, clapped, whistled and enjoyed as many sexist thoughts as one could have when far from home.

Seems to me the dancers always appreciated the bills even when my hand was shaking trying to deposit that bill and I know, having met some of the women in the Hope show afterward they enjoyed the attention and never expressed any dismay at our behavior while watching them.

But that was another time when all things were different. Nowadays someone wants to try to make something out of every comment and gesture made.
