Middle Grades Lionettes Lose By One To Cornerstone

The 2019-20 Middle Grades Basketball Season got underway as the Cannon County Lions and Lionettes hosted the Cornerstone Middle Yellow Jacket teams from Baxter. Cannon is in the tail end of their in county season so the collective bunch haven't had long to practice. The Lionettes competed and fell short 22-21 to the Lady Jackets. Jenna Bush led all Lionettes with 7. Cornerstone's inside game was too much for the Lions in the boys matchup with Cornerstone winning 47-28. Theo Winters knocked down several outside shots to finish with a team leading 13.
The in-county grammar school matchups continue tonight with Eastside traveling to Westside, Woodbury Grammar is at Short Mountain and Woodland hosts Auburntown. All games start at 6:00 PM
