May 7 is national school nurse day

Cannon County School’s Coordinated School Health program would like to make the public aware that May 7th is National School Nurse Day.

Please take the time to become better aware of the role school nurses play in the educational setting.

Cannon County’s school nurses are Joanie Blackburn, Betsy Hawkins, and Tanya Lewis. They provide a valuable resource to our students each day. With today’s children facing more chronic health illness (e.g. asthma, diabetes, food allergies, etc.) than ever before, the role of the school nurse is extremely important.

Please take the time to let our school nurses know how much we value and appreciate their efforts in helping create a safer and healthier environment for our students to learn.
