Marshall “Benny” Bentley Odom, age 57, died suddenly at his workplace in Nashville of unknown causes.  He was a native of Richmond, VA and a resident of Murfreesboro.  Marshall was a Christian and enjoyed golf.
 
Marshall is survived by his son, Joey Odom and wife, Jamie and daughter, Marrissa Odom Morales and husband, Anthony of Murfreesboro.  He is also survived by his father, Ward L. Odom of Martinsburg, WV; two sisters, Melinda Odom Staubs and husband, Tony of Alexandria, AL and Catherine Odom Roberson and husband Jeffrey of Centerville, VA; two brothers, Craig Odom of Martinsburg and Ward Keith Odom and wife, Sarah of Browns Valley, MN.  He is also survived by his ex-wife and the mother of his children, Patricia J. Odom of Murfreesboro and beloved companion, Phyllis Veals of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Angel Morales, Aalyah Morales, Alicia Morales and Isabella Morales; and six nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Black Odom.
 
Graveside service will be Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Odom Cemetery, Auburntown, TN with Corey Trimble officiating.  Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
