On Jan. 17, Cannon County Sheriff's Deputy Chip Avera spoke with Richard Presley at his residence on McBride Lane, according to an incident report.

Presley stated approximately one year ago he loaned a 2013 Lincoln MKX to Ashley Martin. He said since that date he has filed bankruptcy and this vehicle is now needing to be returned to U.S. Community Credit Union in Mt. Juliet.

The vehicle's registration does return to Presley's name and the registration expired 12-31-18, according to the report.

Presley stated he's made multiple attempts to get Martin to return the car.

He said her last known location is in Jamestown, TN 3 and the repo company may be able to locate it there.

According to the report, Presley wanted it documented that he is trying to cooperate with and help the Credit Union retrieve their property.

Avera noted he did not observe the vehicle at Presley's property on McBride Lane.
