LETTER: Election Worker Suggests Cures
Email Print

As I’ve worked early voting, I’ve gotten a clear, up close and personal view of how it works. I see who I can work with and who I cannot. I see who treats others with respect and who does not. I see who bullies and intimidates and who does not. I see who speaks truth and who does not.

From where I stand, 4 things would greatly improve the system:

1. Remove Matt Studd from the commission

2. Remove any chance that Stanley Dobson would be back

3. Appoint Dorinda Mankin as permanent AOE

4. Everyone (Democrat and Republican) alike get behind Dorinda — support her, encourage her, and help her to be the best that she can be.

I agree with Helen's 4 things to improve the system. Maybe this would bring some peace and credibility to the election commission.

I can agree with a lot of what Helen has to say. However I see somethings different and see bulling and intimidating in a somewhat different light. I not only call for the removal Mr. Studd but also for the removal of Mr.Gannon and Mrs. Patrick.
The very unprofessional conduct of the original Five on the Election Commission so tainted the entire commission that the only way the people of Cannon County can have respect for and full confidence in the work of the commission is to replace them all. WE have two of the five gone and still need the other three to be removed.

If Gannon and Patrick had given in to the bully, Short Mtn would have no precinct. We all know what happen to Mayo when she vote for what she thought was right.
