Historical Society to hit Gassaway Sept. 14

The Cannon County Historical Society will meet Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 1:00 PM in the Gassaway Community for its regular scheduled meeting.

The society will tour the old Melton's Bank and Post Office Museum.

Owners, Gary and Jama Hancock will conduct the tour including a brief history of the "Clear Fork" Community.

The Clear Fork was originally in old Smith County before Cannon County was formed.
