Feb. 15: Early Voting Begins For March Primaries

Early Voting begins on Feb. 15 for the March 6 Presidential Primary and the County Republican Primary.

Early Voting will be held at the Cannon County Election Commission Office in the Adams Office Building at 301 West Main St., Room #244, (Tatum Street Entrance).

Times the office will be open for Early Voting are 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. weekdays through Feb. 28, with the exception of Feb. 23, when it will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The office will also be open for Early Voting on two Saturdays, Feb. 18 and Feb. 25, from 9 a.m. until 12 Noon.

The last day to register to vote in the March primaries is Feb. 6.

If you are a voter who qualifies for voting by absentee ballot you can go ahead and request that ballot now--get all the paper work out of the way early so you will receiving the ballot on time.

DNJ had an article wherein it was noted the state will have an extra worker (cost $100 each) at every precinct across the state (assumes that includes our county) to assist those who may show up without proper photo ID card on primary day. Your tax dollars at work
And a reminder from my favorite VP candidate of all times, Sarah Palin:

"So, if for no other reason to rage against the machine vote for Newt, annoy a liberal. Vote Newt."
