I am announcing my candidacy for Cannon County Court Clerk. I have lived in Cannon County my entire life. My parents are Harry Lee and Janet Duggin Barnes. I have two sisters, Valerie Barnes Bush and Stephanie Barnes Fann. My grandparents are Marshall Edward and Wauline Allmon Duggin. My sisters and I were raised on a dairy farm in the Pleasant View Community in Woodland. My maternal great-grandparents were the original owners of our farm, Captain Horace and Hattie Brewer Allmon. Mr. Cap was the area's veterinarian. My paternal great-grandparents are Samuel Lofton and Eppie Northcutt Duggin. S. L. was a merchant and trucker in the Readyville community.

I attended Woodland Elementary and I am a Cannon County High School Graduate. I have a BS Degree in Public Relations with a minor in Business from Freed Hardeman University. I am married to Jeremy Judkins from the Short Mountain Community. We have two children, Jared and Abbie. We reside in the Lake Anne Subdivision.

Currently I am a legal secretary with Mitchell and Mitchell, Attorneys at Law. Prior to joining Mitchell and Mitchell I worked for my grandfather, Marshall E. Duggin in his law practice. Before entering the legal field, I worked at the Bank of Commerce while attending both high school and college. I also am the bookkeeper for Charles D. Atnip, Realty and Auction Co.

Living on a dairy farm in my youth taught me the value of hard work. Cows don't tell time and they never take a vacation. You have to be able to think on your feet and be a problem solver. My roots run deep in Cannon County and I am proud of my heritage. I am open to suggestions from others and want to make the office of County Court Clerk efficient and friendly.

My strong work ethic started young and continues today. With over 20 years' experience in public service, I will bring professionalism and trust to the citizens of Cannon County. I believe in the people of Cannon County and I want them to believe in me. It would be an honor to serve in this position and I look forward to meeting as many voters as possible to earn your support.
