The State of Tennessee has mandated that there will be a Community Advisory Board (CAB)in every county by 2010. The CAB helps to identify the needs in the community and to find ways to fulfill the need by using the community or develop resource through the Community Advisory Board. Currently the Cannon County CAB members include REACH, SAVE, Sr. Citizens Center, and Adventist Community Services. Recently the CAB became aware of the need to help teen mothers in our area. To assist these teen mothers with the on going difficulties of child-raising, the Cab will be sponsoring a baby shower for teen and young adult mothers at 4pm on Sunday, June 27th at the Woodbury Lions Club. At the shower the mothers will receive needed baby equipment, supplies, clothes, and information from public assistance agencies. There will also be experienced sponsors/mentors mothers that can answer questions and give practical advice and information. Please contact me at 615-796-7020 or perry.louden@us.army.mil for more information Sincerely, Perry Louden Facilitator Cannon Co. CAB
