I am originally from Auburntown. My parents were the late Charlie and Willette Barrett. My brother was the late Charles Barrett, Jr. I was born in Cannon County and am a lifelong resident in this great County. I graduated from Auburn High School in 1968 and went on to graduate from Beauty College with not only my beautician license but also a teaching license. I owned my own Beauty Shop and also taught at the Beauty College.

I have over 30 years experience in handling business growth. Previously, I owned Basham Flower & Gift and also B&W Market. My work experiences have allowed me to be proficient with the computer, office and people skills. Right now I work for Natural Organics in Murfreesboro where I work with thousands of accounts across the United States, Ireland and the UK. Daily, I help these stores build their business and help them be successful within their budget. I may work in Murfreesboro but I spend my paycheck in Cannon County whenever I can. I believe in supporting my hometown.

My dream would be back in the Cannon County workforce. Being the Trustee would be more than a job, it would be a privilege and an honor to serve the great people of Cannon County. I will bring accountability, fiscal responsibility and integrity to this position.

I am happily married to Jerry Witty and we live in the Short Mountain Community. God has blessed me with a wonderful family, my health and life in general. Jerry and I are very dedicated to the Lord and we know we owe him for everything.

I won’t be able to visit or meet everyone like I would wish but I would appreciate your vote on August 5th. I hope you will give me the honor of Trustee for this great County! Thank you for your support and God bless you!
