Sympathy is extended to the friends and family of Ronald "Chick" Bryan of Rogersville who passed away on Christmas Eve. He was a 1958 graduate of Auburn High School.

Peggy Keaton is currently in ICU at Middle TN Medical Center. We pray for a speedy recovery.

Mickie and Anne Anderson enjoyed vacationing in Plaza Del Carmen, Mexico returning home in time for Christmas.

As expected there were lots of family gatherings over the Christmas Holidays. Sunday the 23rd Teresa Davenport, James Paul Davenport, Patrick Smith and Kristin Winchester were treated to a family meal at Curtis and Kathy Davenport's.

That same day at our house children and grandchildren gathered in for a meal and then "puppy chow" making and gingerbread house building. Lots and lots of the "puppy chow" covered my table.

Elaine Reed hosted her annual Christmas Eve family gathering and game playing with Joey Reed, Jordan and Dawson Reed, Murfreesboro, Jason, Lori, Amy and Jay Reed, Tim, DeAnna, Janna, Alayna and Adriana Reed. I was told Amy knows sign language and used quite a bit of it when losing!

Ruth and Marvin Davenport hosted Christmas Day lunch and gift exchanging for Mitchell, Veronica, Caleb and Kelsey Davenport of Alabama, Curtis and Kathy Davenport, Teresa Davenport, James Paul Davenport and Kirstin Winchester.

Jim and Donna Sherrell hosted Christmas Eve breakfast for his dad who is also named Jim, Clay Sherrell, and Travis and Dusty Sherrell Clark, Alexis, Chloe and Kay, of Baxter, Bryan James and Candace Meyers of McMinnville, Michelle James of Murfreesboro and Robbie Owen.

At our annual Christmas Eve supper bearing good food and good times were Mark and Karen Stinnett of Brush Creek, Patrick Thomas of Cedar Grove, Betty and Terry Thomas, Robbie Owen, Joyce Leach, Stefanie Gaither, Brad Leach and Frank Patrick. Arriving later were Samantha and Madison Gaither and Tim, DeAnna, Janna, Alayna and Adriana Reed.

Christmas morning was our annual ham breakfast and gift exchanging with all our family: Kyle, Shannon and Kullon Patrick, Murfreesboro, Sam, Bethany and Rylon Morrison, Morrison, Ray, Anita, Dustin and Daxton Patrick, Woodbury, and the Reeds. Coming in later for the hotly contested games was Case Isenhart.

That night we took what food we had left to Robbie Owen's, put it together with what food she had left and what food Ruth and Marvin Davenport had left from their family gathering to eat some more___ Frank helped us.

Stefanie Gaither, Madison and Samantha, and Joyce and Brad Leah were in Murfreesboro for Christmas lunch at Ronnie, Becky, Blake and Jonathan Gandy's.

That night the Gaithers and Brad and Patrick Thomas gathered at Betty and Terry Thomas' to top off their Christmas celebration.

David Tate of Trenton, GA came up for the Holidays.

Prosperity Baptist Church held a beautiful candlelight service Christmas Eve to help all who attended remember the true meaning of Christmas.

On the 3rd day of the new year Joey Reed adds another year. Ann Whitaker Thompson and Erica Melton celebrate theirs on the 5th. Amy Reed's is the 7th and Mike Jakes finishes up the birthday wishes on the 8th. Happy days to all of you.

Happy belated 57th anniversary to Ray and Jean Barrett Melton who celebrated at Cracker Barrel the 26th.

Ed and Martha Hays will celebrate 60 years of marriage on the 4th. Their daughter, Marna will celebrate her 28th anniversary with John Higgins. "Pete" and Bob Whitaker have an anniversary on the 8th. Happy anniversary to each.
